HOW DID THE INPUT FROM HCS AND YOUR TIME AT HCS IMPACT YOUR LIFE? (CHALLENGE TAKERS)
When I think about my time at HCS, my heart just swells with gratitude.
I am so grateful for the time that I spent at HCS.
One person who has marked my life forever is Mrs B – she was and still is a mentor to me. She always believed in me, she always (lovingly) pushed me to reaching my full potential, she was always full of faith for God to open doors for me, for Him to do miracles in the light of what seemed like many times insurmountable obstacles.

Mrs. B taught me how to think (haha, it sounds strange), but she taught me deductive reasoning. She taught me to see problems as challenges and find ways to overcome them. She helped me to develop a quiet resolve that I could do anything I set my mind to, with hard work and most importantly complete trust in God. This resolve and the skills I learned in school, have seen me through MANY difficult, stressful exams, 24 plus hour shifts, varying hospital and patient environments, as well as navigating being a mom.

I could never have hoped for a better principal, teacher, mentor or friend.

Mr and Mrs B not only gave of their time and teaching skills, but they gave of themselves. They and their 2 lovely daughters welcomed each one of us into their homes. They would sacrifice many things for me and always found a way to meet my needs.

The teachers are passionate about the school and learners; they truly love their leaners and genuinely want them to excel in all aspects of life.

In short, my time at HCS marked me and is a BIG part of where I am today. I still often think about those Scriptures we studied and the precious people that I met during my time there.
