- Mission – To provide quality education to learners in a Bible-based environment, who will become confident, disciplined and relevant members of society.
- Vision – To develop a Bible-based school, that caters for individual attention, spiritual growth, academic excellence, social upliftment, sports and literacy skills.
2. What grades does His Church School offer?
- We offer education for Grades 1 to 12, following the CAPS Curriculum.
3. Is His Church School a co-ed institution?
- Yes, we are a co-educational school, welcoming both boys and girls in all grades.
4. How can I apply to His Church School?
- You can apply by filling out our online application form on the website or contacting our Admissions Office on 031 701 6211
5. What are the requirements for admission?

6. Is there an entrance exam?
- There is no official entrance exam, however it may be required that the applicant be subjected to a diagnostic test to establish the foundation of their education at the point of application.

- Our school may have waiting lists depending on the grade level and availability of spaces. Please contact our Admissions Office for the most up-to-date information.
8. What curriculum does His Church School follow?
- We follow the South African CAPS (Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement) document; ensuring students receive a well-rounded education across a wide range of subjects.
- FET- Learners (Grade 10 to 12) are registered to SACAI (South African Comprehensive Assessment Institute) for examination purposes. The Grade 12 exit exam is thus the NSC-Exam conducted through SACAI.
9. Does the school offer extra-curricular activities?
- Yes, His Church School offers a variety of extra-curricular activities including pickle ball, chess, table tennis, cross-country, swimming, netball, athletics, soccer and cricket.
10. Are Christian values integrated into the curriculum?
- Yes, Christian teachings and values are integrated into every aspect of the curriculum, from lessons to daily activities, fostering a strong moral foundation for all students.
11. What subjects are offered in high school?
- Grade 8 & 9 – English Home Language, Afrikaans First Additional Language, Maths, Life Orientation, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Technology, EMS, Art and Drama.
- FET Grade 10 to 12 – English Home Language, Afrikaans First Additional Language, Maths OR Mathematical Literacy, Life Orientation and a choice of 3 electives, taking one from Category A to C:
12. How does the school incorporate Christian faith into daily life?
- We incorporate Christian values through daily devotions, Bible studies, worship services, assembly, teachings that promote Christian principles and a Christ-centred way of life.
13. Do students have religious education?
- Yes, Grade 1 to 7 students receive religious education as part of their academic program, helping them to grow in their Christian faith.
14. Is the school open to students from all Christian denominations?
- Yes, while we are a Christian school, we welcome students from all Christian denominations, provided they embrace the values and teachings of the school.

- No
16. Is there a cafeteria or meal service at His Church School?
- His Church School has its own tuck shop that sell snacks and cold drinks during break times. His Church, which is on the same premises, has a fully functioning coffee shop, which allow learners to purchase lunch, snacks, hot and cold drinks.

- Our school fees vary by grade and can be found on the Fees section of our website. If you have any questions regarding fees, please contact our Financial Office on 031 701 6211
18. Are there any discounts or financial aid available?
- Please refer to the section on school fees, which allows for discounts for more than one sibling. Due to the size of the school, financial aid is not something that can be offered at this point and time.
19. What payment options are available for school fees?
- We offer various payment plans, including annual, semi-annual, and monthly options. We accept debit orders, EFT and cash payments. However, please, avoid large cash payments for security reasons.
20. Does the school offer support for students with learning disabilities?
- His Church School is not a ElSON-school, however staff are able to detect academic challenges. Such cases are then referred to the school management team for assessment by external specialists, example (O.T, Speech Therapy, Sherwood Assessment Centre, visual and auditory asseccing etc.)
21. How does the school ensure student well-being?
- His Church School offers a small family environment where needs are more readily and easily detected. Once a need is identified, the appropriate member of the Learner Support Team will be notified to establish a link with the particular learner or family. (eg. Child Support Services, Social Services, Christian Social Services, Pastoral Counselling, Divorce Care, Grief Share). Extra lessons are available to learners who need to overcome academic challenges or for those needing to improve their marks.
22. How can I REMAIN updated on school events?
- We regularly update our school calendar and send quarterly newsletters via email to parents and guardians. You can also follow us on social media for updates and news. Each class has its own Whatsapp group for day-to-day communication between parents and teachers.
23. How can parents get involved in school activities?
- We encourage parental involvement through school events, parent-teacher meetings, volunteer opportunities (fundraising, marketing, sewing, metalwork, woodwork, handyman ,caterer, sports coaching, officiating)
